My Watch; Miss Enemy

October 31st, 2008 · Torn Tool ·

I woke up Thursday morning by the voice of my dark curtains, they called for me: “S3ood wake up, we can feel the warmth of the 7 o’clock sun rays”. And when i slowly started to stretch out, my new watch said:” S3ood don’t believe them, you still have plenty of time, take a 30 minutes nap. Believe me you’ll feel more refreshed.” And without hesitation, a drowsy man would without doubt continue with his sleep if he was told so by the most trusted person/thing he knows.

And after 30 minutes, my pillow whispered to my ear: “S3ood, it’s been 31 minutes already, and your watch didn’t say a thing. Don’t you think that it’s playing you, please wake up and dont be late for college…” It suddenly caught my attention. And when i raised my back up. My new watch talked again: “S3ood, I didn’t wake you up cause you looked so innocent and tired, your class is at 9 am, you know, you could still sleep for a few minutes more, how about it? … i will wake you up after 30 minutes.” I did the calculations in my tired mind and it all added up nicely. So, i ignored the pillow’s take on this, and tried to sleep. But my pillow would’nt want to be comfortable, as in, it wants me to wake up and not to sleep … So, i slept without it.

“S3ood wake up you are late…” My light bulbs said, ” We will turn oursleves on! ” And by god they did, i raised my back up again, pulled my legs and landed my feet on the cold ground. And gazed upon my new watch. And it said “It’s 8:10 am, you still have 50 minutes S3ood.” and made a big smile with its analogs. I gave my maid the “dishdasha and the chma’3″ and went quickly to shower. I finished with everything at 8:40 am. I ran to my car, opened the door and started it. I tried to move it but it wouldn’t move, it said: “S3ood, do you know how cold it was this morning? … Give me a second to heaten up please.” I looked at my watch with a messed up face. And i said: “Look at what you have done? I am gonna be late for my quiz, Why did you do this? ” It laughed hard. And said: ” Nobody told you to trust time. I exist to show you time, But you you dont have to believe it.” The car then roared and said: “Ok s3ood go ahead, drive..” And it’s already 8:45 am. I told the car that i was late, and i needed to get there in 15 minutes. And without fear it obeyed its master. We took Demascus street and fortunatley for us all the traffic lights were green, We took the 2nd ring road next and guess what, all the traffic lights were green also. We arrived at my university at 9:02 am. I thanked my car, and ran with holding my “3gal” by my hand so it doesnt fall off, to class. I made it at the last 2 minutes of the quiz. And thank god i did well. Maybe a full mark inshallah ;)

After the class was finished, i looked at my new watch again, and said: ” What did you mean by (i don’t have to believe it) back then? ” The watch never responsed. I tried to ask it later that day… And it never talked. As if, it died while i was on the way to college.

Why don’t i have to believe time? Is it an illusion? Or just a true existing lie. Time is movement, so does that mean that movement is unreal? What am i blabbering about here?? From out of no where, my delecious frappachino yelled at me ! :”Forget it man… Enjoy life, Draw a smile on a face, and let the first face be yours. Don’t strain your mind, just meditate and everything will come to you, there is no easy way. Only a hard way exists, but you can take the hard way, the easy way.. if you know what i mean bro.. now shut up, and drink me up.”

That sounded like the wisest coffee i have ever had conversion with. And so i did what it told me. And right untill now, i feel supereb :D !! What a wierd and joyful day .. :)

Legal Threats Against ThePirateBay

October 31st, 2008 · Loolykinns Teh P1r473 ·

This cracked me up…

Since ThePirateBay server(s) is\are in Sweden, lawsuits and stuff wouldn’t work since Sweden doesn’t forbid pirating stuff…
So they have this page that displays the emails they receive as legal threat emails and what they replied back to them…
It’s actually funny… Take a look =P
Special thanks to Fencer Darkwind

This is from the New Yorker

We love their cartoons. This one, unfortunately, is more true than funny.
